With separate shower stall and tub the whole room was conceived as a stone box. Simple white italian porcelain fixtures sit within a room lined entirely with a linear striped grey marble. Every surface iwas marble clad including the backs of the doors. The experience is one of calmness mixed with intrigue. The solemn solidity of the surfaces are interrupted and questioned by the discovery of concealed nooks and chambers. The uniformity of the stone is counterbalanced by a large vintage steel pendant light fixture that acts as a sharp foil to the uniformity of the wall treatment. |
